Below, you are able to read the descriptions of my main passion project focus for each month I was enrolled in the Innovation Lab for my junior year. Upon clicking the arrow to the left of this sub-page underneath the "Passion Project LHS" tab, more pages will appear that contain the artworks, all of which are listed to their corresponding month.
September 2017: In this month, I am focusing on the basics of each picture, such as character anatomy, shading, and lineart. I am also seeking inspiration and instruction from websites like Pinterest and deviantArt.
October 2017: In addition to focusing on improving the basics from the previous month, here I am branching out to different styles and types of drawings, such as oil, realistic paint, and a mixed-cartoon look.
November 2017: Throughout each day of this month, I plan to direct most of my energy towards drawing inanimate objects. I am also trying to develop more realistic methods for shading, highlighting and adding detail to the background parts of my drawings.
December 2017: After discovering new features in the programs I use to draw, this month will mostly be focused on honing in on my struggles and concepts I did not appear to improve upon. I am also going to work towards grasping the basics of perspectives; overall, I seek to add depth to my paintings!
January 2018: As the first semester of the year draws to a close, I have transferred all of the information, resources, and tips gained throughout these months into one document, delivering a TED talk-like presentation to the Loveland Middle School digital arts program. Although this is the final part of my passion project for my junior year, I am very glad to have given inspiration to younger students.
