I matter because my actions have consequences, even the littlest ones. In my short story, I'm trying to show how small, everyday events can influence our community. They might not seem like much at first, but little things can become bigger things. And even if they don't, they still leave a mark. I think that kids my age (middle schoolers) feel like if they're not loud, if they're not bold, then they're invisible and insignificant. But everyone matters, because no one's actions are without consequences, even the quiet actions of quiet people like me.
A letter is written by an anonymous person explaining why a person is important and how life is worth it.
I have always wondered why humans are so different in their appearance but then internally we are all the same. The current social and economic conditions made me think more about where I come from and what I can do to spread acceptance. This year's topic made me realize that I can change the world when I look within myself. I matter because I can bring change.
Everything around us has its own importance. We humans think we are very important and superior, but the fact is, we are all interdependent. We forget to understand it and take it for granted.
