Acadian Ambulance EMT

The National EMS Academy and Acadian Ambulance Service are teaming up to train and hire college students. Through this program, current college students can take the National EMS Academy’s EMT course and work as an EMT part-time while attending school. The program will allow them to gain valuable field experience and earn patient care hours toward their degree. Acadian will cover the National EMS Academy tuition and fees.

Supplemental Instruction Leader/ CAS Shell Tutors

Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders play a fundamental role in the academic success of LSU students. This leadership position is meant to offer academic assistance in historically difficult, lecture-based courses. SI Leader also facilitate the connection between students and faculty members. SI sessions are a combination of what to study and how to study.

CAS Shell Tutors play a fundamental role in the academic success of LSU students. The expectation is to assist undergraduate students with subjects in which they are having difficulty and/or would like to develop more effective learning strategies. Tutors need to be certain to understand what the students need to accomplish and will work toward building his/her self-confidence so as to become an independent learner. Tutors should facilitate the connection between what to study and how to study.

Southern Medical Corporations EKG Technician Job Opportunity

As an EKG technician with Southern Medical Corporations, you can work closely with nurses, doctors, and other medical professionals to perform 12-Lead EKGs on patients in the ER, ICU, floors, and outpatient settings, at both Our Lady of the Lake and Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet. The shift hours generally include 7-4, 3-11, 3-9, 4-11, and overnight positions 9p-5a and 11p-7a. This is a great job for clinical experience as many EKG techs have gained experience to lead them to success in nursing, PA, and medical school. Many of these techs have also gotten the doctors to write them letters of recommendation for applications as well. The pay is $9/hour, and they would love to work with the members of AED.

A message from the Associate Program Director in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Blood and Marrow Transplantation at the University of Minnesota: 

 I am looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to help us change the practice of medicine. I’m hoping you can share this message with members of Alpha Epsilon Delta. 

 The very first successful bone marrow transplant was performed at the University of Minnesota in 1968. We are the oldest and one of the largest, most successful BMT programs in the world. I encourage you to spend some time learning about the pioneers in our division by exploring the links below.
