Google the term "rhetoric" and give me at least three definitions for the word from three different sources or webpages. Describe a time when you have had to persuade someone to do something (5 sentences). What were you trying to convince them to do? How did you try to convince them (writing, speaking, begging, crying)? What evidence did you use to convince them?
We will also breakdown the examples given in your homework and discuss them in terms of rhetoric, the rhetorical situation, audience, purpose, context, and exigency (these terms are in your syllabus and are important to be familiar with and understand). 25-30 min
