Deconstructing Your Identity Journal-15 min. Watch the YouTube video over personal identity and this other video and take notes on the different philosophies surrounding personal identity (in a Google Doc or your OneDrive). Answer the first three following questions in class:
Which philosophy of personal identity do you agree with? Why?
What are 3 aspects of your identity that have changed over time? Three aspects that have stayed the same? Would you argue that you or still the same person you were a year ago? Why or why not?
Are you responsible for past actions if you aren't the same person anymore? Why or why not? Give an example from your own life or someone you know/knew.

Choose one community that is based on your outside appearance. Did you choose this community or have no choice and how did that negatively or positive influence your identity?
You are about a month and a half into assuming your new identity as a TAMUCC student. What aspects of your identity have changed so far as opposed to who you were when you graduated in May? How has becoming a TAMUCC student affected the communities you discussed earlier (for those that apply)?
