Out of your three communities you wrote about in class today, pick one that you think you'll be able to write a 3-4 page narrative about. I want you to brainstorm the following things just to get your juices flowing:
What community did you choose?
Who are the main characters you think you'll need to include? Describe them in 1-3 sentences each.
Setting: where does the story take place? Might be multiple settings. Describe in 2-3 sentences.
What are some key terms, words, phrases, languages do you think were important in you gaining literacy in the community?
