Today we will work on creating APA style citations for the entries in your Research Log. First, let's discuss what APA is, who uses it, and why according to Purdue OWL-APA
Let's go through the important things to know about APA citation entries because there are special rules for academic Journal articles. Here is an example of an APA References Page.
You may use EasyBib or Citation Machine to generate your entries, BUT cross-reference with the Purdue OWL or the actual APA style documentation guide 7th edition to make sure that the entries are correct. Your professors are experts at APA citation. They will know if something is incorrect!
Check your APA entries if you've already done them, noting the differences between Journal articles and other sources in terms of italics and author/organization/no author. All entries should have 1)the author or organization of the work (if available); title of the work (must have); date published (must have); publishing organization or sponsor (must have); URL (must have).
Discuss Mid-term grades due next week.
HW: Go back and add in the APA citations to the first 4 entries of your Research Log. Due on Wednesday BEFORE class in BB title RL Entries 1-4 with APA citations in Week Nine.
