Next in the 12th incarnation, Lord Dhanvantari came with a bowl of nectar and blessed the world with Ayurveda, a branch of Medical science. When we say Ayurveda, we feel it is only based on herbs. Ayurveda is a shastra. In olden days, there was only Ayurveda and is considered as sub veda for the Vedas. The entire medical science is an extension of Ayurveda. The chemicals that we talk about these days also are mentioned in Ayurveda. It contains everything. Later, it was bifurcated and is called as Naturopathy or herbal medicine etc. The Ayurveda bestowed by Lord Dhanvantari is the main source for all other branches of it. We need to learn about this. The lord came in the form of Dhanvantari and removed all the diseases in the world. It is important that your disease is cured. It doesn’t matter if it is cured by Allopathy or Naturopathy or Homeopathy. Every one needs cure, not the details. Such is the greatness of Lord Dhanvantari. Very rarely we see temples of Dhanvantari. Our Sadguru, out of deep compassion on all of us, consecrated Dhanvantari temple in the premises of Datta Venkateshwara temple. It is very rare. He carries the divine nectar in a pot in His hand.

Music is our breath. Listen during daytime and night time. Human breath is Mother Goddess – Shruthi. People’s shruthi is different and varies from person to person. Those who do full breath will have a long life and good health. First lesson in Datta Kriya Yoga we give is on breathing.
Short breath is short life and health problems. Full breath/deep breathing means no heart, kidney, lungs or back problems. At sunrise time you can practice full breath. Blood circulation also becomes pure. Very important to practice good breathing. Go to some open place, some garden. All the time sitting in kitchen and small hall is not good. You suffer with so many problems. Taking so many medicines is not good. Nature itself cures.
So many people are working, working. working. It is not good. Take a small holiday. Not eating, drinking picnic kind of holiday. Eat less, keep a fresh open mind. Fresh air. Only 2-3 days with family and friends. Longer time will also lead to diseases. Limitation. All the time eating spices is not good.
In Trinidad you get good fruits. Daily eat one or two fruits. It is very good. Good fresh water is good. Good green vegetables are good. Avoid too much roti. Take only a little bit. In Trinidad such a big roti they make. In Carapichaima a very nice man who makes rotis, so many of them like a machine, in one hour. Rotis are my good friends. I am not against rotis. But too much is not good.
Before going to bed, don’t see horror movies. Some people like to see horror movies at night. They get bad dreams. Not full sleep. Only half sleep, disturbed sleep. Don’t drink too much water before going to bed. After 3 PM only a little water with food. If you drink after 3 PM, tea, coffee, or cola, you do not get good sleep. In the morning drink 2 litres of water. It cleans the kidneys. After 3 PM don’t drink tea or coffee also. This is Ayurveda and Kriya Yoga teaching. Then you pray, do puja, read Bhagavad Gita, to keep a fresh mind.
