Arrival FAQ

I have been vaccinated in my home country. Do I need to quarantine?

Starting from June 8, 2022, regardless of your vaccination status, ALL international entrants are exempt from quarantine

When do I have to arrive in Korea?

[2022 Fall New Students]

You will need to arrive before the Welcome Orientation on August 23. For those staying at the dormitory, you will need to arrive in time for your dormitory check-in (August 22 ~ 23, 10:00 ~ 17:00).

However, if you have valid reasons to arrive late in Korea, just remember to arrive before the semester starts as your classes will most likely be held in person. It is ultimately your responsibility to check your attendance and your professors may not allow absence due to late arrivals.

Also, as mentioned in your application guideline, we DO NOT offer our program virtually. You must be physically present in Korea before the semester starts in order to be eligible for our program.

Do I need a Korean number to go through immigration?

No, but after you go through immigration, you MUST have a personal mobile phone number to keep in contact with your local Health Center & your ISV.

Do I need a Korean number during my first week of arrival?

Yes. Each foreign entrant will be reported to their local Health Center, and they will call/text you:
