This was another finalist for the Kinderspiel des Jahres in 2015. I give it a firm meh. It's okay, and probably nice for little fingers. Most of the kids I know would lose the pieces and break the treasure chests. (I know, I'm a pessimist.)

I loved the references to Love Boat at the beginning with the mention of Captain Stubing and Dave singing about "Exciting and New."

They asked Mark his captain name when he won the first game and he said he didn't have one. Well, I do. Mine is Captain Crunch. (My middle schoolers called me that in 1994 because of my last name and my classroom. Lots of little kids mispronounce my name as Crunch, so I tell them to call me Captain Crunch.)
