In 1 Samuel 15, God uses his messenger Samuel to tell Saul that he would not be king for much longer. God sent Samuel to Jesse's house In Bethlehem. Jesse had many sons, but God chose David, the youngest son to be king. This was a surprising choice, but God saw David's heart, and knew that he trusted God.
What is something good that God has done for you that made you smile or laugh?
Read Psalm 126:2-3 together. Talk about what these verses mean to you.
"Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, 'The LORD has done great things for them.' The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad."
Pray and thank God for laughter and that he chooses surprising people to further his kingdom.
