Daniel loved God and only obeyed God. The king's leaders were jealous of Daniel, and they plotted an evil plan to get rid of Daniel. So Daniel was thrown in the a den of lions, but God closed their mouths and he kept Daniel safe. This story reminds us of Jesus because he saved us from so much more than lions...he came to save us from our sins.Â

Jesus saves us from sin - not just lions. God saved Daniel from the lions. He closed their mouths so they couldn't harm him. God saves us from so much more! God sent his son to save us from the punishment for our sin. Because Jesus came and died for us, we can live with God and not be his enemies.
God is the one true God - forever and ever. The story of Daniel happened in just 1 day. The next morning when Daniel was safe, the King and all the people knew that God was the one true God. God is the one true God every day, not just on the day that Daniel was saved. God is the one true God forever and ever. When God sent Jesus to die for us, He made a way for us to spend forever with God. Instead of death (separation from God), we can have life with God forever and ever.
