Jesus used parables, or short stories, to teach about the Kingdom of God. In Luke 12:35-40, Jesus shared a story about how Jesus' disciples should wait for him to return. We are reading this parable from the book "Jesus and the Very Big Surprise".

Jesus calls us to follow Him.
Jesus was surprising because he never sinned. He paid for our sins by dying on the cross, but he didn't stay dead. Jesus is alive!
Practice Romans 5:8...but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Pray and thank God for the opportunity to follow Jesus.
