Goliath was a giant that no one was willing to fight, except for David. Even though David was small, he loved God and knew that God was in control. David used his slingshot and some stones to kill Goliath, but God is victorious. We know that Jesus is even better than David. He came to earth to save all of us from our sins so that we could live with God forever!

We can't do it on our own - only through Jesus/God's power. David threw a stone that hit Goliath but he knew that the power to sin the battle against Goliath was God's David knew that God was with him. David was a champion for the people when he fought Goliath. Jesus is an even better champion for us. Jesus went to the cross for all of us. Through his death and resurrection, we have a chance to be alive with God forever.
God is the greatest! He can do anything! God sent Jesus to defeat sin and death. Goliath was very big. Goliath was known all around the countryside at that time, because he was so big. But God is Bigger! God is the greatest! God can do anything! God shows us that by sending his Son to be our rescuer. Nothing is bigger than God!
