Being Generous With Others

We can worship God through generosity.

Generosity means sharing all one has (time, talents, and treasures) out of gratitude for God's grace and to give God glory.

We see an example of generosity in the Bible with the story of Ruth. Boaz was generous to Ruth even though he didn't know her. She was a stranger to him, but he was generous to her. Similar to Boaz, God shows us how generous he is when he sends Jesus to rescue us.

Read Ruth 2-4 from the Bible or from a Story Bible. Talk about how Boaz was generous to Ruth.
Read John 3:16 together:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

How can you be generous to people you don't know?
Pray and ask God for how you can be generous to people you don't know.
