When we were dead, God made us alive! 

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved

• Read John 11 or the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead in your story bible. 

Talk About It... 

• Did Lazarus have the power to raise himself from the dead? Was there anything he could do to save himself? God alone has the power to make the dead alive.

• When we were dead in our sins, God made us alive! We cannot love others or obey God without his help. God gave us the Holy Spirit to raise us to life. 

• Can we come to God on our own? (No, we are dead in sin, and need the Holy Spirit to bring us back to God) 

Pray About It...

• Thank God for offering us a way to be be brought back to life in Jesus. Ask God to use the Holy Spirit to show us how much we need Jesus.
