Touch
Jesus died and rose again for me.
Jesus died and rose again for me.
Thomas, one of Jesus' disciples, had a hard time believing that Jesus was real...that he had really risen from the dead. If he could touch Jesus, he could be sure of what he was seeing and hearing. Jesus knew Thomas was uncertain and offered for him to touch his scars, which was the proof that Thomas needed. We can't touch Jesus, but we can still believe in him and the work he did for us on the cross.
Read the story of Thomas in John 19-20. What did Thomas need to do to believe?
Read John 20:29
Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
Share your story of faith in Jesus with your child. Tell them what you believe and what Jesus has done for you.
Touch Exploration: Touch items that are soft, hard, smooth, rough, fluffy, prickly, cold, warm, bumpy, slick, etc. Talk about their differences.
Pray and thank God for our sense of touch and for the faith to believe in Jesus.
