During the second week of Advent, we focus on love. The type of love is one that gives and helps no matter what. We see this type of love in the Bible. Jesus will come to the world as a baby, and will be a huge gift of love. Not to just his parents, but to the whole world. Jesus shows us how much God loves us in John 3:16, where we see that Jesus shows love to the world. God didn't just say he loves us. He proved It by sending his Son Jesus to rescue us.
During Advent, we use a wreath and candles to help us celebrate Jesus' birth. If you have an Advent Wreath, light the candle for love.
Practice John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Talk about what it means for Jesus to show love to the world.
Read Romans 5:8 and talk about what that means to you.
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
