Today we started a new unit called Joshua! For the next 5 weeks we will read a part of Joshua's story as he led the Israelites into the Promised Land. While we read, we will discover some of God's promises to us along the way.

Talk We can trust God! We can trust God to keep all of his promises. Today we learned that God promises to strengthen and protect us. Does that mean God is going to give us huge muscles? No, his promise is about having strength to follow him. Talk about what it means to follow God and trust in him.
Do As a family, make an obstacle course. Use toys, pillows, and blankets inside or sidewalk chalk outside. Either have your child close their eyes or use a blindfold and guide them through. Talk about being afraid when we cannot see what is coming and how we can trust God. We can trust Him just like Caleb and Joshua trusted him.
