God's Promise: Courage and Guidance
Joshua Takes Charge: Joshua 1
We have been reading the story of Joshua as he led the Israelites into the Promised Land. While we read, we will discover some of God's promises to us along the way.
Today we learned:
God promises to be with us always and give us courage to obey Him.

Talk God told Joshua to have courage to follow Him, and that He (God) would be with him always. God guided Joshua. God also promises to be with us always. When does it help you to remember that God is always with you? When you're worried? Or scared? Talk with your child about how you remember that God is always with you.
Do Joshua took charge to lead God's people to the Promised Land. Play follow the leader as a family and take turns being the leader. Talk about how God calls us to follow Him and lead others to Him.
