It's Not About You

IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU is a series of lessons remembering that the entire Bible is all about Jesus.

Joseph forgave his brothers in Genesis 37-46.  Forgiveness is a very good thing to give, and Joseph forgave a lot!  Forgiveness is hard because we are sinners and don’t always want to forgive – I’m sure even Joseph struggled a little with that sin.  Why do you think God wanted us to know the story of Joseph?

This story shows us that:

Jesus is the true and better Joseph who, at the right hand of the King, forgives those who betrayed and sold him and uses his new power to save them.

· Reread the story.

· Table Talk: Share moments that were hard to show forgiveness.  Share times when forgiveness was shown to you.  Share your story of being forgiven by God.  Thank God for sending Jesus to forgive and rescue us.
