It's Not About You

IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU is a series of lessons remembering that the entire Bible is all about Jesus.

Today we looked at the story of Abraham leaving his home and all that he knew.  (Genesis 12-13)  Abraham did a very hard and scary thing.  Abraham gave up a lot – but Jesus gave up so much more when He left Heaven to come to Earth and save us.

This story that happened so long ago was the beginning of God’s rescue plan for us.  God knew we would sin and need a rescuer – God asked HIS only son to be that rescuer.  So it’s not about you being a good follower – it’s not about all that Abraham gave up…the Bible is God’s story of rescue – It’s not about us - it’s all about Jesus who answered God’s call for us.
