Fear Not! Zechariah
Last week we read about a prophet that told about a rescuer coming to save God's people! Many, many years later, an angel came to announce that it was almost time for the rescuer to come. Elizabeth and Zechariah learned that they would have a son and he would announce that the rescuer was coming now!

Read Find Luke in your Bible together. Last week's story came from the Old Testament, but now our story comes from the New Testament. Read Luke 1:5-25 together.
Talk A lot of time passed between Isaiah sharing God's message about a rescuer in the Old Testament and the angel's announcement in Luke. In fact, it was hundreds of years! Talk about a time you had to wait for something and how hard it was. God's people waited a very long time for their rescuer.
Do Take a walk together and try counting as high as you can as you walk. If you get distracted, start over again! There were around 700 years between the prophet Isaiah's message and the angel's announcement in Luke. See if you can count all the way to 700! If you have very young kids start with 7 or 70.
