PROJECT STEPS

Title: Choose a group, people that are together but may not like to belong together - Include 5 human characters

Sketch : Project Idea: Olympiads meeting in Olympic Village: Shot Putter and Sprint Swimmer - What are the body shapes like?  Or a Middle School Library - all the student types and the librarian? Or people taking public transportation.

BRAINSTORM: Think of a concept such as some of the examples: cyberbullying, mask initiative, catholic education,  and then create a set of people that have different shapes

EXPLORE: Optionally Make Rows of Silhouettes - explore different shapes, look for thick, thin, contrast of wide and narrow, curves and straights.

DEFINE LINE: Create Line Work that explores the details of the character - look to have facial expression, detail in costume, Hand Design, Shoe design. Remember that motion design characters generally have less detail but we should still know about them by what they are wearing. The line may not be a part of a final image. Often they have no line. Or thin line, or no line variation.

FINISHED CONCEPT: Full Color for at least one character, Rendered in the style necessary for motion design for health care or infographics.

Cameron Schleicher - Mask Up Initiative Lineup

Daniel Neph - Figures of the Catholic Church Lineup

Kaitlin Carr - Paperdoll Outfits Lineup

Gabi Mathu: Shape design - for a motion design for an ad campaign for a doll brand

Al Smith: Motion Design character set for the concept of global impact and sustainability

Audrey Stratton: Motivating Gym Users inspired by the Olympic Symbols

Miki Davis: Campaign against cyber bullying titled Internet Manners

the idea was to show that it is hard to spot the cyber bully and that we all have implicit bias.
