ANIMALS

We will explore many types of animals in this class. Bipedal animals are more similar to humans, find the similarities and the differences to help you understand them. Quadriceps often have a longer torso such as in cats. We will look at the anatomy of animals and make comparisons to humans which will give you a leaping point from which to draw. Getting many angles on an animal will help you to see the differences in leg formations and the way that the hand bones are much more stretched out then in a human. Be observant with your references. Below are examples from multiple drawing sessions. We will be going through swimmers, great apes, winged creatures, rodents, big cats and creatures. This will give you confidence to make a final transformative drawing of a Multistage Animal Hybrid.
