SWIMMERS

Project Description:

Steps

  • Gather Photo References of Real swimmers: add to mood board

  • Start with drawing realistic inspired swimming animals, mammals, fish, microbes

  • Make a page of 5-10 actual swimmer studies from reality on a page (only include swimmers - some of the examples have birds and skeletons - just include fish, swimming mammals, swimming reptiles, swimming microbes.) (These should have LOA, squash and stretch and exxageration - not a trace not an exact replica - have them act - but no costumes or props yet.)

  • Then some start to use your imagination for mermaids, merboys, jet propulsions etc.

  • Make a page of 4 different character designs of swimming creatures, all different species based on your studies from class, 1 pose per design. (include here, props, costume, anthopomorphic, game design or animation design etc, etc.) - only line is needed.

  • All the poses on both pages must have strong foundations (LOA, Straights and Curves, Shape, Structure, Exaggeration) and be action/motion poses.
