Kasai Advanced Lapping and Polishing Technology Laboratory is a specialized research and consulting laboratory dedicated to advancing ultra-precision lapping and polishing technologies for next-generation manufacturing.
Since its establishment in 2007 as a Saitama University venture, the laboratory has supported industry with cutting-edge expertise in high-accuracy surface finishing, extending beyond optical-grade precision.
Our mission is to strengthen the foundation of advanced manufacturing by preserving and evolving Japan’s world-class polishing and production technologies.
We provide practical solutions that bridge research and industry, including:

●Technical training programs for advanced surface finishing
●Development of planar polishing simulation software that integrates theory and practice
