Held every Wednesday at Wakanda Restaurant
Organized and directed by Kanade Yagi
Wakanda Art Gallery is a weekly event hosted by Wakanda Restaurant, launched in January 2024 with the belief that “Siquijor needs not only parties, but also cultural activities.”
A temporary screen is set up inside the restaurant to showcase video and photography works. Once a month, an art market is also held. So far, the gallery has featured a wide range of presentations—including independent films from the Philippines, documentaries about Philippine culture and society, talks and screenings on marine conservation, and digital short films.
Artists from the Philippines, Japan, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Denmark, and the USA have taken part in the program.
