Story of Your Life is a mixed media installation featured a healing method called "tigi," which uses 6 strings for divination. The main feature of this method is also what's most interesting: if a healer gets “no” for an answer from strings, he/she changes a condition in the first question and asks again (and again) until he/she gets “yes”. She also asks what a client should do to recover from his/her suffering. The advice is usually about offerings to bad sprits, or to the patient's ancestors. FroIn Siquijor Island, Yagi learned from a healer how to perform tigi, as well as how to make the strings from scratch. In the installation, Yagi fused the traditional tigi method with an invented tigi, into her interpretation of the method.
