Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?

Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going? is a video installation about a missing shell. It comes out of the artist's real experience while researching in Siquijor island, a place known in the Philippines for witchcraft. While certainly mysterious, it was impossible for Yagi to get any revelation from it. And so she refers to this incident as a "meaningless mystery". To gain different perspectives towards understanding this incident, she began asking people how they thought about it, as well as explored possible explanations to how this mystery may have happened. The installation consisted of photographs, a letter, and four video works in different sizes.
