Crafting Community

Crafting Community is an education center placed within the creek of Cane Hill, in Northwest Arkansas. It is a multi-purpose center, focused on celebrating the topography of the site and creating a sanctuary within the grounds. Placed next to a highway, the large circular wall built around the site serves to block noise and enclose the site to focus on the creek that the project is built across. The program consists of a main courtyard and building that houses small exhibits and a library, which then leads out to a shaded garden on the creek. Across the creek sits the primary educational classrooms, and further past that is temporary living spaces for educators and curators.
