  • StockPlay (Slice of Life) Bo Doddins (a first year stock car driver) unexpectedly meets Clarice Crosnore (a Boston socialite turned professional cosplayer) and the two painfully attempt to grow closer as their distinctly different heritages, cultures and social circles clash.
  • Apparition Apprehenders (Ghost Hunters in the Dickensian World of A Christmas Carol) Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of Jacob Marley. This event is interrupted by Sonali Reddy (Indian Merchant’s daughter and Spirit Medium), Jonas Leech (an escaped American Slave turned mercenary) and Buckman Theal (a Moravian College History Professor on sabbatical) bursting through Scrooge’s window. Reddy, Leech and Theal quickly surround Marley, draw a Seal of Solomon around him and perform a swift ritual to capture him in an Apparition Ampoule. Scrooge is flabbergasted and insists on an explanation. Reddy apologizes to Scrooge for the disturbance and explains that her associates have been aiding here in tracking this Active Apparition for weeks and that their investigations showed that not only had Marley come to Scrooge to haunt him, but that Marley had made supernatural preparations to bring three more powerful Apparitions to haunt Scrooge that very night. Scrooge is relieved by his rescue. As Sonali’s team packs their gear to leave, Scrooge asks how much he will be billed. Sonali explains that her and Buckman and Jonas do this labor because it needs to be done, so no bill will be forthcoming. Scrooge is shocked and immediately begins explaining to Sonali why her work must be attached to remuneration posthaste. Before the morning sun rises, Scrooge arranges to fully fund Sonali’s team as “Scrooge’s Apparition Apprehenders” and begins plans for them to rid the city of London of all Active Apparitions.
