Our Graduate Growth Program is designed to support your transition from graduate to professional. We use a structured support model which offers a mix of self-directed activities, group mentoring, co-working with senior therapists and professional coaching to set you up for a successful career as an occupational therapist.
A structured way of meeting your new team and learning about our working environment, our positive and supportive culture and our values.
We have a strong commitment to a holistic approach to person and professional growth. Each therapist works with a senior clinician who will guide you by utilising self-reflection practice. Coaching will help you focus on your areas of development and set you on a personalised course to build your knowledge, skills, and behaviours as a therapist.
You will learn about how to maintain a healthy work life balance, develop time management skills and celebrating your own skill development and achievements. We also offer you great flexibility to schedule your day in a way that best suits you.
Learning from experienced clinicians by observing them in sessions with clients, either face to face or telehealth therapy. Co-working will help you understand an occupational therapist’s role more fully with a real focus on development your knowledge of client-centred practice. By having the opportunity to cowork with various clinicians, you will also learn different intervention methods and how to run therapy sessions.
This will support your learning about working with other health professionals and connecting with the local community. As part of the program, you will be able to engage in Q&A sessions, sharing your learnings and fostering professional relationships inside and outside of the business. We have a dedicated budget for team outings and activities to help foster meaningful friendships between staff.
As a recent graduate, you receive occupational therapy specific mentoring and supervision from an experienced clinician. You will also have access to a wider community of paediatric OTs around Australia with weekly clinical-based modules and activities.
