„Suntem obișnuiți să vedem acea față luminată a Lunii când este noapte pe Pământ, dar Luna se mișcă pe orbita sa. Când este aproape de răsărit sau apus pe Pământ, Soarele luminează Pământul și, de asemenea, luminează Luna. Din acest motiv, în acele momente ale zilei putem vedea partea iluminată a Lunii”, spune expertul.

Se numește colocvial Lună Ziua. Daca este in faza de semiluna, sunt mai multe ore de lumina lunii si o putem vedea de la apus. Pe de altă parte, dacă este într-o fază de scădere, apare mai târziu la orizont și îl putem vedea din zori până dimineața.

“We are used to seeing that illuminated face of the Moon when it is night on Earth, but the Moon moves in its orbit. When it is near sunrise or sunset on Earth, the Sun is illuminating the Earth and it is also illuminating the Moon. For this reason, at those times of the day we can see the illuminated side of the Moon”, says the expert.

It is colloquially called Day Moon. If it is in the crescent phase, there are more hours of moonlight and we can see it from sunset. On the other hand, if it is in a waning phase, it appears later on the horizon and we can see it from dawn until morning.

“Estamos acostumbrados a ver esa cara iluminada de la Luna cuando en la Tierra es de noche, pero la Luna se mueve en su órbita. Cuando en la Tierra está a punto de amanecer o a punto de atardecer, el Sol está iluminando la Tierra y también está iluminando la Luna. Por eso, en esos momentos del día podemos ver la cara iluminada de la Luna”, señala el experto.

Se llama coloquialmente Luna de día. Si está en fase creciente, hay más horas de luna y podemos verla desde el atardecer. En cambio, si está en fase menguante, aparece más tarde en el horizonte y podemos verla desde la madrugada hasta la mañana.
