What are some things you are most passionate about?
I'm most passionate about cleaning up how student groups are recognized, and how funding is disbursed so that student groups can better engage the student body and enrich the experience at Hopkins.
What have you done or helped do on campus during your time at JHU?
As a senator, I've revised SAC's bylaws for equitable representation, introduced a public forum regarding long-standing issues student groups and SLI, and I also brought about the poll to gauge student opinion on the Spring 2020 grading policy.
Why did you decide to run for office?
I'm pursuing re-election in hopes of serving as the new chair of the committee on student organizations to better mediate issues between SLI and student organizations, as well as streamline the process for gaining recognition and acquiring funding.
What is the first thing you would accomplish if you won your position?
The first thing I would do is get started on a "how to operate a student group" guide, and seek input from existing groups, as well as SLI staff.
