Hello everyone, my name is Femi Agabalogun, and I'm running to be a Class Council Senator. I wanted to run since many groups (including my Taekwondo group) were affected by the renovations for the Rec Center, and I wanted to make a difference in that regard. Also, I feel there's a lack of communication between the students and the policies of the governing body, and I want more transparency regarding the issues that SGA addresses. I've had prior leadership experience by spearheading fundraising initiatives with Timmy Global Health (a nonprofit organization that expands access to healthcare in countries that lack the resources to do so) and raised over $7,500 for the organization. This experience and leadership courses I have taken (including HopkinsLEAD and the Leadership Theory class) helped me to hone my ability to work within a team, a skill that is crucial for this position. Overall, I want to be able to accomplish the goals that are in my slide above and work with the rest of the governing board to implement even more goals. Ultimately, I hope to be a voice for the Class of 2023 and make your time at Hopkins an amazing, unforgettable one! Thank you for reading, and hopefully, your support!
