Baptism is the first of three sacraments which initiates the elect into the Body of Christ His Church.  The grace of God is given which allows the newly baptized to be reborn through supernatural life and are returned to friendship with God. Baptism opens the door to all other graces given in the other sacraments. From baptism access is given for each person to approach the other sacraments.
