This Unit plan covers the branch of Oceanography called Physical Oceanography. Through this unit, students will explore the movement of the ocean's waters, through waves, tides, and currents. They will learn what these movements are, what causes them, and how the effect the ocean. They will also cover the history of tide and current mapping and charting.
