People often say "It's just the way it is, you can't change it..."
Society today is full of rules. Things you are 'allowed' to do and those you're not. Society is full of conditioning, setting our expectations for what is a 'normal' and an 'acceptable' way to live and work. Education tells us how it was, how it is, and how it should be... how if we want to be considered a 'success' we should fit into the bucket that has our name on it.
The illusion is complete... that we believe we are choosing our life, but it is within the boundaries set by others... which works for them.
Ever thought this "What can I do, I'm just one person? ..."
The disease of disconnection and dis-empowerment is rife. We have been divided by voting options, incensed by choices that hide true agenda's, and given people to blame in the name of democracy. We have been given everything we need to easily accept that which we have without question.
Treading the less trodden path, facing hostility from the popular majority, and being marginalised through bullying tactics of the media and those around us, it is no wonder that the majority of people just take the easy route... it is easier and less painful to go with the flow.
Not for most of us... not for 99% of the population it isn't. The current political situation has seen a gigantic shift in 2016. People have voted for a discontinuation of the same old same old. People have voted for change... to what we are unsure. It will probably get worse before it gets better.
Maybe it has to get worse to stimulate us from our apathy and slumber. Maybe what is around the corner is just what was needed for enough of us to conceive and believe that a different future is possible. A future that works for the vast majority not just the self selected minority.
We were lulled into a deep slumber, lulled into thinking others would look after us, lulled into thinking that others know better than we do. If you do not create your world then you live in one that is created for you. Time to kick start our minds and begin to imagine what we really want.
In order to end this chapter of the human story "we, the people must bring about the change". The task ahead is huge. How do you change that which has permeated so deeply, become so widespread, and been so accepted? The 1% will not bring about change, they are okay as it is. It is us who must find the courage and the strength to do what must be done.
If we can embrace our differences, and unite in common purpose and head in the same direction, we will be able to create such a world as we've never seen. We have the technology, we now know what doesn't work, it is time to bring our minds together, collaborate and invent a new era... shall we?
Those things that affect us most are those where we spend most of our time, where we live and work. There is an abundance of things that could be improved in our communities if we pooled our minds and thoughts. Through innovation and creativity new opportunities and doors will open.
No one person has the right answer, but if we collectively worked on finding alternative solutions we could dramatically improve what is happening around us... all we need is to gather people together who want to find alternative ways to solve the challenges around us. So let's build "creative thinking spaces" where we can come together and innovate our future. [... see gatherings]
