Why Innovation - People - Skills?
The world is at a bit of a crossroads right now. The divide between the wealthiest and the rest widening at an alarming rate. Debt spiralling out of control. The rise of the Far right and division in Politics. Corruption in the Media and institutions rife with propaganda. Capitalism heading for the abyss. It is simultaneously the most terrifying and the most exciting time to be alive.
Innovation
As Einstein said "we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them..."
We need an army of 'creative thinkers'. If we think from inside the box, we will hamper our capability to innovate that which we need. The world is very different than it was 30 or 40 years ago. The Internet has changed (and continues to change) everything.
All that we have been taught... the books we have read... the conditioning we have received is now up for questioning. More than ever we need to 'Find our own way'. This applies at every level both as an individual and as communities. [... More]
People
When we get down to the nub of it all that really matters is our connection to others. Our purpose and our well being ultimately comes down to people and relationships.
We have been duped into believing that our value can be measured by possessions and what we have... and yet we arrive with nothing and we leave with nothing, except the footprint of our lives.
Governments, Politics and Religion are all man made ideas, designed to divide and control. What unites us is that we are all part of the human race...
Let us strive to be the best human being we can possibly be.
Skills
The world is continually changing, and we must adapt and learn. Technology leaps ahead constantly and without investing in ourselves our participation will be restricted.
The world we are creating requires us to work on ourselves as much as it does on learning about new technology and new ways of doing things. We must once again become students of life in all it's facets.
By innovating, creating and by reconnecting with our communities and those around us we can embrace a whole new world, and learn to be part of its creation.
