National Sports Day / Rashtriya Khel Divas 2022 : 29th August to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand. Dedicated to the nations’ sports heroes and champions, honoring their contribution and dedication towards bringing laurels to the country, to raise awareness about the values of sports: discipline, perseverance, sportsman spirit, teamwork, and to encourage public in large to take up sports and make it an integral part of their lives while emphasizing on the importance of being fit and healthy.

Telugu Language Day / Telugu bhasha dinotsavam / తెలుగు భాషా దినోత్సవం 2022 : On 29 August each year in the State of Andhra Pradesh of the Republic of India. This date was chosen to coincide with the birthday of the Telugu poet Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy. International Day against Nuclear Tests 2022 : increasing awareness and education “about the effects of nuclear weapon test explosions or any other nuclear explosions and the need for their cessation as one of the means of achieving the goal of a nuclear-weapon-free world.”
