Dr. Kaggwa completed a Masters degree in Water Quality Management, specialising in Limnology, river and wetland ecology in 1998, followed by a PhD. in Environmental Resources Management at IHE Delft. In 2016, she received the International Water Association's Women in Water Award. Dr. Kaggwa has worked in multiple management position in the National Water & Sewarage Corporation (NWSC) in Uganda, currently serving as Director of Business and Scientific Services. In this role she is responsible for Water Quality Management, Training and Capacity Development, Research, and Development and External Services, which is the NWSC Consultancy unit that she has led for over 13 years. She also serves as Vice Chairperson of the Intermittent Water Supply (IWS) Specialist Group at IWA.
