Celebrating diverse understandings of caring for water
As the world's largest international graduate school for water studies, IHE Delft's diverse student body and staff are its greatest strength. We are home to plural knowledges and perspectives, each of which enrich our collective understanding of water. As a culturally diverse group, we also aim to have a critical understanding of gender and inclusion in relation to water and sanitation. Values of inclusion push us to go beyond socially constructed binaries of gender, and recognise the contributions of diverse groups to water, across divides of gender, race, and nationalities.
This women's day, we celebrate the diversity of water knowledge, concerns and sensibilities at IHE Delft by showcasing women nominated by our students and staff for their contributions to the world of water. Through these nominations, we honour the many understandings of caring for water that exist within our institute.
