The Orphan Kitten Project is an initiative of UC Davis School of Medicine. If you want to get involved, you can foster, donate or buy merchandise! Also, if you witness a kitten emergency, you can reach the organization using contacting information in their Facebook page.
The California Raptor Center is home of owls, falcon, hawks, vultures and eagles that would not survive in the wild. They also rehabilitate sick birds with the goal of releasing them. They are also a hub of research and education. If you want to help, you can donate, adopt a bird, or volunteer cleaning cages, feeding, etc.
The Yolo Food Bank aims to end hunger and malnutrition in Yolo County. They do so by distributing food to pantries, homeless shelters, and after-school, healthcare, and senior nutrition programs, as well as to individuals and families in crisis.
