Sometimes we need nature but we have no time (or desire) to go on a backpacking trip for a weekend. In such cases, Davis has a lot of nature to offer. In particular, the UC Davis Arboretum is a beautiful conservation oasis, with plant collections from all around the world. It has also a lot of wild animals, like ducks and beautiful insects. A quiet walk through the Arboretum can be what you need to reconnect and find peace. More information in the Arboretum's website.
