What to expect:
Fill out the Daily Symptom Survey and have your appointment barcode (through the Student Health E-Messaging portal) ready when you arrive.
Please do not eat, drink, smoke, or brush your teeth at least 30min prior to your appointment.
UC Davis is administering a salivary test. You will be given a kit and a small volume of water, and you will provide a small sample of saliva into a tube. There are assistants available at every step to guide you and answer questions. More details of the process and what to expect can be found here.
Results are found in the Lab Results tab on your Student Health E-Messaging portal. You can also sign up to receive notifications (that your results are ready) by updating your profile on the portal!

SYMPTOMATIC
Please contact the Student Health Center for up-to-date information on symptomatic testing: (530) 752-2349
Employees and students at the Davis campus must report a COVID-19 diagnosis for themselves or someone with whom they share a residence. Follow this brief guidance to report a positive case or concern by emailing reportcovid@ucdavis.edu.
As campus screening increases the number of students and other campus affiliates who are tested, expectations are that more existing and asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 will become visible. In preparation for this eventuality, the campus has set aside quarantine and isolation facilities. UC Davis also has worked with local housing complex owners to assist them in establishing quarantine and isolation spaces within their properties.
Effective March 9th, 2020, UC SHIP will eliminate member cost sharing to $0 for all medically necessary screening, testing, and treatment for COVID-19.

VISAS AND INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARS
Visas and entry status have unfortunately come under attack by the federal administration in response to COVID-19. IGG is not able to offer specific advice in this realm - please visit the SISS website to find more information about specific visas and how you may be affected. To discuss unique or individual circumstances, please contact your SISS advisor for an appointment.
Unfortunately, the employment of ASEs who are currently abroad (due to broadly COVID-19 related reasons) has also become a serious concern for the 2020-2021 academic year, as some universities within the Universities of California (including potentially UC Davis) have determined that they will not be employing international students who are not on US soil for the upcoming quarter due to tax complications. The ASE Union (UAW 2865) has filed an unfair labor practice charge in response, and it is unclear where each university currently stands or might proceed on this issue. For specific information about who is affected by this and if you intend to be abroad for the fall quarter, please review this.
