Misako has been working for the Assistive Technology Development Organization as Board and Library Project coordinator after working at the Information Center of Japanese Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities to provide information related to persons with disabilities while promoting information accessibility, using assistive technology such as DAISY and easy-to-read concept for 18 years. She has been also working for Japanese DAISY Consortium as Secretary to disseminate DAISY in Japan since 2003.
Misako has also served IFLA Library Services to People with Special Needs Section (LSN) as current Chair since 2014 and got involved in developing various library service guidelines for persons with disabilities.
