Five things that I have underlined after watching Incredibles 2
1) Jack-Jack was so goddamn cute!
2) Predictable plot-twist
3) Particularly loosened story-line
4) Understandable writing
5) Happy ending
Basically this film is leaning its background onto family matters, and is very recommended for family-popcorn session. But living from its prequel hype, this film agreeably failed to fill up to the expectation, even though it is still worth a watch. Incredibles II discusses about the change of role in the family, the unity between them and the meaning of Incredible itself when Mr. Incredible said he's Mr. Incredible which also means that he's incredible in managing his miserable family after Elastigirl left for work. It is easy to know that Evelyn Deavor is the Screenslaver after that earlier conflict with his elder brother regarding their parents assassination. The scene of Violet confronting Tony after his memory was usurped by Dicker also a bit too late until I almost assume that it was a flashback. The action sequence is arguably good but I wonder why Voyd didn't use her power a bit earlier to land Evelyn and Elastigirl on the vessel. The film ended its note with a happy and positive ending with family entertainment and adventurously joyful to watch. Overall this movie is worth a try and audience won't be disappointed because it is a light treat for children and that is a consideration. Moreover, the man of the movie for this eye-treat is Jack-Jack himself! But what is lingering in my mind right now is just where is Undermine?
Incredibles 3? Or another 14 years?
