Five things that I have highlighted from Shankar's 2.0 starring Superstar Rajinikanth :
2.0 depicts about the exceeding usage of smartphone until it spreads radiation that slowly kills those sparrows and birds flying in the sky. The story also typically shows the political interference like the other Indian films often formulated. An ornithologist, Pakshi Rajan tries literally everything to save the birds but his effort goes to no avail. As the film march on, he hung himself to death at a transmitting line tower as a resemblance of his failure to win the political argue against them. In the middle of the story a flashback take place telling the audience about Pakshi Rajan's life chronology. He once said that he shall do anything for the sake of the bird's survival. Pakshi Rajan resurrected as a huge evil sparrow that resulted from his negative aura amalgamated with thousands of negative auras from those dead birds that he has buried earlier in his lawn. Thus picking up an eagerly-awaited sparring against Chitti.
I love this movie as for its fast-paced story-line which is connected with facile until I sat still to the very end of the movie. The movie spanning to two and a half hours but I feel as if the film didn't exceed two hours. The build-up is well-organized until it intrigues me towards the second half of the film. Although the second half looks a bit slow due to the ultra-pacy first half itself, to be honest it is commendably fair. The background score is simply stunning and inviting goosebumps. The fact is until now I feel insecure when I heard vibrated sounds (those who watched it shall know) because I have to admit that those assassination scenes look quite gory yet remarkable. And you simply can't critic A.R. Rahman's glory in musics.
The cinematography is also a visual treat and scenery cure as the camera work being held brilliantly by those who involved, making this film more entertaining and calmer to enjoy. But due to the differences of studios handling for the VFX resulted to the inconsistent of the VFX for some moment it looks like an Indian-resembling-Marvel but when it comes to the other scene, it looks so awful and illogical like some collages. Overall, the film is indeed very impressive, and the message highlighted by Shankar is also crystal-clear.
I give Superstar Rajni, 4/5.
Don't leave the hall yet, because there's a end-of-credit scene!
