AndhaDhun (2018) is a witty dark comedy that tickles your belly and mind at the same time, a lot.
Amit Trivedi evolved his music composing with a series of diversion from Dear Zindegi, Fitoor, Secret Superstar, Kedarnath until Andhadhun. His score is simply outstanding, riveting in happy moments and scary when it comes to suspense. Absolute gem.
Ayushmann Khurrana literally acts in two or more character in this movie. His deeds when he's officially blind and unofficially sighted is outstanding. Also his encounter with the Inspector is just utter mind-blowing, and then Simi. Nimbooda nimbooda nimbooda!
Other films are may be fast-paced, but this movie, ultra fast-paced. Shots, message conveyed, interpreted. Next scene. Speedy.
Tabu as what they say, femme fatale. Absolutely incredible. Deceitful, vicious woman cult that commendably stunning and shocking the audience.
The film is full of twist, making you become impatient in waiting for the film to end. And in the end your mind getting abusively fucked up and up again. Sriram Raghavan you are crazy!
Radhika Apte dazzles rightly as Sophie. Aap se milkar accha laga. Funny lines from her, cracking jokes for audience to have some light laughs but it works.
The blind ones are not emotionless. In fact they are sensitive. They are ahead in more aspects of mentality if to be compared with those healthy ones. Akash said that his act upon blindness is his experiment to gain focus in playing piano. And it is almost successful until Simi dig them out blatantly with damaging Akash's eyes intentionally.
Manav Vij reminds me on Aamir Khan's Talaash. Policewaala uniform, bodybuilding shape, muscular approach. But a rather stupid, queen-controlled police.
Basically every single character that involved in this movie charms in their own way and functions right to the death. You'll find every of them with personal interest and importance until they left the other one helpless and sightless.
I have read numerous theories floated upon the clandestine ending whether Akash is really blind or not. After all, I have watched it and I decided to say that Akash is not perfectly blind. I can't spill everything you'll have to watch it for yourself. It is a 'maa-kasam' masterpiece!
Sometimes I feel that the first half is a story, the second half is another story, and the ending isn't even part of both stories. Speculatively written to confuse the audience. For some clue, take a good look at the rabbit. I think the rabbit is man of the match for this film, and the black and white cat as the animal of the film. Let alone a bird that shits on Akash's spectacle.

Rating : 4.8/5 (well nothing is perfect)
But I'm for-god-sake loved it. An adult version of Drishyam, trust me!
